Once Eve and her band of merry men had passed through the portal that wasn't there ... To the naked eye at least, the dopey smile of Evan's faded quickly, replaced by one of dire concern. He wasn't expecting to get in this deep ... To be honest, he wasn't sure what was going to happen any more since ....

..... He wasn't ready to go there just yet. Instead, Evan would rub the head of his child counterpart "Lil Nora " who was more than content with sitting in his lap, humming to herself while playing with the glasses he had given her. Despite her facial disfigurement, she acted like any other toddler.

Before following Eve and Jared into where ever they went, she had sent several of her other selves to track down and bring back the modern day Jared and Brehnic. The medieval version thought it best that at least one of them should stay behind to brief the others when they did arrive.

"So, Lil Nora, you gonna drop the kid act now?"

" .................................. Dehm. Busted, huh?"

"Fraid so. Good ruse though."

"I thought so. As good of a ruse as you PRETENDING to have lost your powers, like Pretty Eve had."

"Fraid so. Good ruse though. So why you don't want anyone to know you still have the inner glow?"

A small smile appeared, however briefly on his face, as Evan shifted his weight slightly, his back firmly against the wall. "That, my little elf is a long and sorted tale."

A tiny fist punches him in the shoulder. " Not like we are going anywhere, mister. You didn't rat me out, and I kept my mouth shut about you. Spill it."

Evan looked down at Lil Nora, serious glances exchanged between the pair, before he slowly nodded. "Well, it started ... Right at the end of it all. My realm was going to Hell in a hand basket, and we needed to get Eve back to her own reality. That in theory was the EASY part. Getting her to ground zero? Well it ....."
